NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) will delist 3 Chinese telecommunication companies: China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom Hong Kong. Delisting will be done between January 7 and January 11. The formal reason for Chinese telecommunication companies delisting is compliance with a US executive order that imposed restrictions on companies affiliated with Chinese military. But the real reason behind the delisting is ongoing trade war between two superpower.
China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom Hong Kong have separate listings in Hong Kong and don’t have meaningful presence in the US except for their listings.
