The concept of akrasia or the mindset of master procrastinator

I bet you never heard about akrasia (I did not make up this word). It’s similar to procrastination. Akrasia represent that moments when you know that some action will be in your best interest but you do nothing. A few examples: workout is great for your body and mind but you replace it by N movie, healthy meal is great for your body but you choose to skip the meal, telling “no” to unnecessary request is great for you but you agree. There’s plenty of other examples.

In simple words akrasia is the state of acting against your best interest. Mostly you face akrasia while replacing things from urgent to do list by useless actions. We choose activities with immediate rewards (for dopamine rush) and ignore everything else.
