In India on Diwali there’s special trading hour called Muhurat. As Diwali on Sunday (today) stock market will be open for one hour from 18:15-19:15.
Here’s a brief explanation of this legendary trading session. Every year National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) conduct a special trading session because of religious beliefs. Muhurat means auspicious. Many traders believe that shares purchased today will bring prosperity blessings from Goddess Laxmi for trading.
It’s a symbolic and old tradition when shares purchased during Muhurat kept for long time and even for lifelong. First Muhurat trading happened on BSE in 1957, on NSE in 1992. Account books and cash chests worshipped. As time changed and there’s only online trading this Muhurat session became a symbolic.
This will be my first ever trade during Sunday and also first time Muhurat trade.
